Remarks | According to a copy of a letter (dt. 14 January 1981; housed at GH) written by P. Hiepko (B) to S. G. Harrison (NMW), Alex. Callier was "born and died at Gand or Gent." Hiepko also mentioned that it was Alfons Callier who "lived and died at Bunzlau in Schlesien (Silesia)" and collected plants in Crimea and Silesia, and that the Index Herb. - Collectors erred in its listing of Alex. Callier as having collected plants in Crimea and Silesia.
