Gustavo A. Romero has been at HUH since July 1988. His primary task is the curation of the Oakes Ames Orchid Herbarium, but he also participates in other herbarium projects (computerization and photographic documentation of herbarium data, Botany Library Committee, and lately editing Harvard Papers in Botany).He currently conducts field research on the Orchidaceae in northern South America and the biological basis for the long-term management of Neotropical non-timber forest products (including orchids, of course!).
