Remarks"A Scottish botanist. He was a royal head gardener and a founding member of the Royal Horticultural Society. A genus of flowering plants. Forsyth was born at Old Meldrum, in Aberdeenshire, and trained as a gardener at the Chelsea Physic Garden.
