| Determination Remarks | [Within the protologue, Gray cited 2 collections; Barneby (Mem. New York Bot. Gard. 27: 410. 1977) stated that Gentry (Madrono 10: 230. 1950) designated Gregg's collection as the lectotype. But, Gentry merely stated that Gregg's original collection is in the Gray Herbarium and did not use the term type for Gregg's collection. Since Barneby recognized Gregg's collection as the lectotype, he is acknowledged here as having lectotypified the name D. greggii. K. N. Gandhi, 20 Oct. 1997] |
