Remarkspacket contains whole mount of apical portion of branch; Trans. and longit. sections of thallus (from down near base) showing single layer of large medullary cells. "Nos. A-238/44 I will call D. cervicornis Kuntz. I have specimens grading down to these width dimensions and with the same irregularity in the branching. The specimens of European D. linearis available have less taper from base to apex and a less significant irregularity of branching: furthermore they are much more narrow." (W. R. Taylor in litt., 22. XI. 1961)
