Remarks | According to a copy of a letter (dt. 14 January 1981; housed at GH) written by P. Hiepko (B) to S. G. Harrison (NMW), Alf. Callier "lived and died at Bunzlau in Schlesien (Silesia)." Hiepko also mentioned that it was Alf. Callier who collected plants in Crimea and Silesia, and that the Index Herb. - Collectors erred in its listing of Alexis Callier, who was "born and died at Gand or Gent," as having collected in Crimea and Silesia.
