| Habitat | along a seasonal creek in a hilly section of pine savanna cleared of pines long ago (it would have had Pinus palustris), in moist loamy-organic soil (Petal-Susquehanna-Benndale association, rolling; Petal: fine-loamy, siliceous, active, thermic Aquic Paleudalfs; Susquehanna: fine-loamy, siliceous, semiactive, thermic Typic Paleudults). Growing with Alnus serrulata, Arnoglossum ovatum, Aster dumosus, Calopogon pallidus, C. tuberosus, Carex turgescens, Centella asiatica, Coreopsis helianthoides, Dichanthelium leucothrix, Erianthus giganteus Erigeron vernus, Eryngium integrifolium, Eupatorium fistulosum, E. rotundifolium var. ovatum, Helianthus heterophyllus, Juncus nodatus, Lachnocaulon anceps, Orbexilum simplex, Osmunda regalis, Ptilimnium capillaceum, Rhynchospora rariflora, Rhynchospora sp., Sarracenia alata S. psittacina, Scutellaria integrifolia, Sisyrinchium angustifolium, Smilax auriculata, Solidago rugosa & Xyris sp. |
