RemarksProtologue: "Achenes and awns upwardly barbed. - With the species, but essentially constant in its single morphological character." Locality from protologue of Bidens eatoni. Sherff cites this collection as the type of Bidens eatoni also, as "GH?" However, this is the only specimen of this collection in GH, and so his citation cannot be used to lectotypify Bidens eatoni.
