| Remarks | Shrub 3-4 ft. Corolla crimson, fleshy; with dark nectar pouches. Flowers with `bloom' on them. The majority are split down one side almost to the calyx. Filaments white upper half, crimson basal half. Style pale green. Calyx fleshy, green. Lobes red-green. Leaves under surface very pale glaucous green. Common, on open rocky hillside among other rhododendrons |
