| Annotation Text | Possibly, this is an undescribed species of Daldinia. Stromata substipitate, rather small, ca. 1-2.5 cm. Ascospores 15-18 x 6-8 µm, with perispore indehiscent in KOH and mostly with narrowly rounded ends. KOH-extractable pigments lacking. These characteristics match none of the species described in Ju et al. (1997) and later by us and other authors. However, no asci were found and HPLC profile turned out to be rather inconclusive |
