Remarks[from M. O. Dillon's 2023 label] R. Fereyra 8883 (GH) likely represents authentic isotpic material of Nolana tovariana. The characters match those from protologue and the locality and date of collections are the same. One explanation is that the labels were inadvertently switched since the collection, Ferreyra 8861, represents Nolana pallida. It is accepted here as an isotpye under the circumstances stated above.
