Annotation Text | [in Farlow's handwriting] Sturgis letter of Jan. 19, 1919, " I should not call it S. confluens. It seems to me rather var. confluens of S. herbatica. I got S. confluens in quantity in Estes Park, Colo. authenticated by Miss Lister. In color (gross) it is like S. fusca. The spores are dark minutely spinulose and measure 7.2 - 8.2 microns. The New Haven specimen had more the color of S. herbatica & the spores are paler & 5.5 microns - 6.4 in diameter. |
