Remarks[John Gorham Palfrey was a Harvard Professor and Dean who built a house he called Hazelwood near the Divinity School, which his family moved into in 1831. It was renamed Palfrey House when purchased by Harvard University in 1916. The house was moved from behind the Cyclotron Laboratory to Hammond Street in 2003 to make way for an underground parking garage and new science buildings. The tree no longer exists. W. T. Kittredge, 2007]
