Remarks3-5 m. tall, stem diameter not more than 5 cm.; leaves numerous about 2.4 m. long; petioles not stem-sheathing, appressed to stem for about 40 cm. then curved outwards and downwards; pinnae about 50 each side of rachis; inflorescence 2 or 3 erect panicles in axils of upper leaves, branches downturned; fruit green; seed yellow; common.
