| Remarks | = Exostema ixoroides (J. D. Hooker) T. McDowell ined., det. T. McDowell, Jun 1995 I regard this as a form of the Cuban species E. ixoroides (Hook. f.) T. McDowell (ined.). It is pubescent, less so than the segregate species (which I do not recognize) E. velutinum Standley, and more so than E. pulveratum Borhidi (which I also do not recognize). Having collected many populations of E. ixoroides in eastern Cuba, I judge this species to be highly variable in both shape and pubescence of the leaves, det. T. McDowell, Jun 1995. |
