["Took the 11.35 train to at the Fitchburg Depot in Boston and got out at West Acton. Walked 1 1/2-2 m. to Grassy Pond. Mr. Tuttle who lives by the pond lent me his rubber boots and I hired his boat. . . Botanized for an hour or so by and on the pond and got some splendid plants." W. Deane Journal]
