RemarksShrubs in soil, arching to 2-3 m.; leaves very green above, very pale below, pedicels green; hypanthium winged, reddish on green, corolla deep crimson to coral-red, carnose, filaments united in a tube, the tube pink, connective white, anthers yellow.
