RemarksDesignated as lectotype by T. McDowell, ined. = Exostema myrtifolium Grisebach, det. T. McDowell, Jun 1995 This is a form of Exostema myrtifolium Griseb. and not distinct enough for taxonomic status. It has rounder leaves than the type material for E. myrtifolium, but leaf shape varies greatly in that species, det. T. McDowell, 1995.
