HabitatDisturbed open, secondary forest dominated by Carya cordiformis, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Juniperus virginiana, Quercus muhlenbergii, Quercus velutina, and Ulmus rubra, with Cornus drummondii, Corylus americana, Ribes missouriense, and Symphoricarpos orbiculatus abundant in understory, at top of steep, W-facing slope above dam. Occasional outcrops of calcareous sandstone and finely crystalline limestone from upper part of Vinland Shale and Haskell Limestone members of the Pennsylvanian Stranger Formation near top of slope; soil sandy, friable, with sandstone and limestone gravel
