| Remarks | ["This A.M. W.B. in his canoe & Mr. Hoar & I in the row boat went down stream a mile or more below Ball’s Hill where we landed and crossed a cold swamp full of sphagnum to a wood. Salix myrtilloides was very abundant in the swamp white the prevailing Carex was a new one to me, C. oligosperma. It was a beautiful sight to see such a quantity of it together, its long thin leaves bending gracefully in every direction." W. Deane Journal] |
